The earthly sound must seize the five dances, described thus by the choreographer Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker: “The Allemande makes us walk, the Courante makes us run, the Sarabande bends us to all kinds of motifs and the implacable Ciaccona flings us into jubilant circular races!”.

As a counterpoint to the two baroque musicians, the evening will be enhanced by improvised interludes combining the bow with the harmonies of analogue synthesizers.

The double bass is an instrument with a chaotic history outside the norms, littered with metamorphoses. In the image of the stylus phantasticus to which Biber is associated, its trajectory is filled with inventions (in instrument-making), transformations (scordatura), experiments and failures of every sort. The double bass emerges from a particularly special and creative anarchy, and its player wields a fertile terrain in which everything remains to be invented.
",
"align": "top",
"row": 3,
"col": 0,
"colspan": 5,
"offsetx": 0,
"offsety": 0,
"spaceabove": 0,
"spacebelow": 0,
"yvel": 1,
"push": 0,
"relid": 4,
"absolute_position": false
},
{
"type": "text",
"cont": "
J.S.
